Newest cruise night destination

The gang from Wednesday Night Classics has moved their weekly gathering from Pistol Pete's to Saloon on Calhoun. As some of you are aware, the show at Pistol Pete's excluded late model cars from parking with the other cruisers, but the new venue has ample parking so LATE MODELS WILL BE WELCOMED!
First cruise night will be Wednesday August 12th. Saloon on Calhoun is a sports bar so it has a full pub style menu of burgers, chicken, pizza etc.

Attendees will have the option to dine inside or, For WNC, the owner is gonna set up an outdoor grill to serve $1 burgers and $2 Italians & brats.
Likewise, there is full bar service inside and for your convenience, he will offer $2 can beer on ice outside.

Not at Calhoun Saloon anymore. the Brookfield Overlords put a stop to that one. I guess ole pistol pete hisself made complaints to the city and the Police showed up on the first and last night. However, the service and food and cleanliness of the venue was subpar. Not recommended. Sussex was never an official WNC meet up. It was an alternative for the newer car guys.

That was something that was said at the event...I can't account for the veracity of that statement. But it does seem kinda fishy that the cops were notified at an event where no one burned rubber or acted like a hoon. Who else would know about "parade permits" for an event like that except someone who had to get one. That's why all the hoods were closed, an open hood would denote a "car show". That's what the PD told us.

nobody knows for sure, but it SEEMS likely that Pete pulled some shit and had the cops pay Calhoun a visit. The Wednesday Night Classics cruise night is taking the rest of the year off, possibly exploring alternative options for 2010.

My dad, daughter and I will be at Sussex Place this week with the Deuce and the Bucket. We plan on getting there around 4:30 or 5:00. If you guys go, make sure you introduce yourselves. :thumbsup

Actually, they probably are going to Sussex. It's not the official WNC hang out, but it will work for them till they get a venue.
