Very nice times!

If you need the trans rebuilt this weekend, I can put a new shaft on it if you get the parts. Mainly, I would need a replacement end shaft nut, 3/4 snapring and input shaft lower bearing and race if that is all what is damaged. I think I gave Joel a spare good input shaft from one of the last rebuilds I did for him.

Give me a call or have Joel call me if you need my help.

Thanks, and good luck!

Well, you will need the Billet Input Shaft AND ~$150.00 in stock parts, along with the PWerks Billet 3/4 HD snapring, and a fresh 3/4 shift fork if necessary. The PWerks billet input shaft is going for $1100.00, the PWerks Billet 3/4 shift fork is $500 (The stock one is around $130), and the billet 3/4 HD snapring is $15. Contact them ASAP so we can get those parts ordered and shipped. I already put in the parts order for the OEM replacement parts through my contact at Russ Darrow and he will be placing the order tomorrow morning.

Joel will be dropping off the transmission at my place this evening, and I will take it apart tomorrow night when I get back from Chicago.

Get that PWerks parts order in on Friday early, so we can get this transmission back in the car and get you back onto the track to run some 10's!

Order:
*Billet Input Shaft
*Billet 3/4 HD Snapring
*Billet 3/4 shift fork (If you have the cash for it; otherwise, order a stock 3/4 shift fork if you don't have the cash for the billet part).

Make sure you get that stuff ordered by tomorrow so we can get these parts in my hands ASAP.

I will take care of everything else.

Joel just dropped off the transmission at my place. I will have it apart tomorrow night when I return from Chicago and we can see if there is any other damage that we need to take care of.

Just be sure to order up the HD 3/4 snapring no matter what you do for the input shaft, as it is a necessity.

:wooo do they make a larger one? that is one small ass input, no wonder it broke making power like u r

the aftermarket billet ones eliminate the area where the stock one necks down after the splines, if you look at the nub by the soda can you can see how it twisted the end of those splines, well where it actually broke its a good amount smaller than the diameter of the splined area, all the aftermarket ones have corrected that:D

Your 3/4 synchronizer assembly is trashed also -- you completely delaminated the friction surface off of the 4th gear synchro, and your slider is really banged up on both 3rd and 4th gear sides. It will need replacement, and I will get it with my parts order.

Also, since you snapped off the splines, I had no way to hold the input shaft in my fixture; as the fixture uses the shaft splines to hold it while removing the 2 1/8" end shaft nut. I ended up having to weld a socket on to the broken end and hold it with a breaker bar while I took off the end shaft nut. It worked, but it took me some time to get it to go.
