Does that rumor of overpaying a speeding ticket and not cashing the refund check :rolleyes:really work ???
According to snopes it says false!!!

Nope, just get a lawyer. It may cost more right now, but it will save you much much more in the end. If you need a name of a good one Pm me.

I think it used to work but the loop hole has long since been closed.

It used to be you over pay the ticket, they send you a refund check for what you over paid. Then it just sits in the billing computer until you cash the check so it would never hit your drivers record.

I tried it once before I got smart and started using the lawyer, on the check it said void after 90 days. So if anything it might just delay the ticket hitting your record.

not a big deal than, fuck the attorneys for whats its worth and everything I have insured through my insurance it probably is not even gonna matter!! 4pts..

go to court, talk to the city attorney, and 9 times out of 10 if you ask them for a defective speedo ticket they will give it to you.... insurance wont be affected since its a equipment violation instead of a moving violation. ive done this for every ticket ive gotten over the past 2 years and never had any issues.

For the three tickets I have gotten I bargained with the attorney and they will dismiss the ticket if you pay about 60% over the ticket. This is both with the City of Racine and County of Racine.

For the three tickets I have gotten I bargained with the attorney and they will dismiss the ticket if you pay about 60% over the ticket. This is both with the City of Racine and County of Racine.


Funny how that works isnt it?? "we will dismiss this for $180 in court costs" But sometimes money talks.... and in my case it was enough to get me off of HTO (hibitual traffic offender) which was an automatic revocation for 5 years.... worse then if I had 3 DUIs :wooo
