Hey Guys, I wanted to share this new app with you that will allow you to listen to various police and fire dept scanner feeds across the US and some foreign countries on your blackberry Phone. Its called Berryscanner and it can be downloaded thru your blackberrys browser at www.berryscanner.com.

If your just interested in listening to the same feeds you can go to http://www.radioreference.com/apps/audio/ and select the country/state county and then city you want to monitor.

I am now hosting a Milwaukee Fire Department feed effective tonight that anyone can monitor from either your phone or the website above.

Its actually really simple. You apply on radioreference.com tell them what you want to host. Take a scanner thats compatible with the frequencys you want to stream. Plug in a mono to stereo male to male headphone jack from computers line in port to headphone jack on scanner and then set up the volume according to the instructions you are given. It took us about an hour but adjusting the volume & Squelch for sound quality was most of that.

Well, It varies in the settings, I have been told that the MFD feed I just set up has very little lag. BTW if your monitoring I am the dispatcher on the radio right now.
