Bad news first.

the bank rejected our offer on the house.. it was a short sale.. just sucks it took them 2 months to tell us no. all the time we wasted when we could have been looking at other homes..

Good news. is that there are plenty of homes for sale and we still have time to look for another to get the first time buyer tax credit of 8k..

and the other part of good news is im going to be a daddy... :headbang

that is all..:thumbsup

Congrats on the Dad part. Yeah, you'll need a house now. Seems like they were forcing big loans down your throat and now, you can't get approved. It all works out in the end.

we are approved for the loan and then some.. the bank of the seller did not approve our offer.. they are trying to sell the house for less than what they owe on it... would have been a killer deal if we got it.

and thanks :haveabeer

pretty much looking for a 3 bedroom home with at least 1 1/2 bath and a 2 car garage.. west of hwy 31 south of 5 mile and north of hwy 11... east of 94.
in newer condition(move in ready) or at least not any major work.. carpet and paint is fine. appliences included is good but not nessasary. 190-195k would be the highest we want to spend depending on property taxes. higher the taxes the less we want to spend on the house. bank will give us over 200k but we don't want to be house broke.

couple mls #ers of some we are going to look at just to give you an idea

mls- 1080334 and 1083177 (these 2 we will be looking at this weekend or early next week) along with 3 or 4 more.

we have been looking at houses with the asking price up to 215k or so with the intention of offering less..

Congrats on the kid man! A friend of mine just bought a nice 3 br ranch w/ attatched 2 car garage built in 2000 for I think 185 in Caledonia, around HWY G and 32. The houses are out there, you just gotta find the right one, they looked for prolly 4 mo in the southern mil county and northern racine area until they found the perfect one. BTW, taxes are ALOT cheaper in Racine, prolly by 1+ g a year. I'll let you know if I see anything out there. Good luck man!

Congrats on the kid.

And that's just how the market is right now. Sucks it takes so long to get a response from the bank (my wife just closed on a property that took 6 MONTHS).

Good luck on the search.
