External to ps3

I have the 80gig it has two usb ports in front I hook my external up to it and it powers it but doesnt read it. Its not the external i dont think as it works on my computer. Any help>

can't you just stream from your pc to the ps3? I used tversity(thanks Myles) for my 360 so I could finally watch all of my movies and listen to my music while gaming.

You can also use an external drive on the ps3 to store additional game demos/ any downloads period/media/save game files, etc. etc.

So it's good to have just for the hell of it :)

Yes it will. If you want to just stream, grab tversity and use that. If you want to reformat it make sure you back everything up before hand.

that would be alot of shit to back up that sucks. I might have to do the tveristy thing. or get another external.
