Lol at the comparo in the first place. It's like comparing a steak at Denny's to one at Ruth's Chris. While I commend Ford for a lot of it's recent auto's (Fusion, Edge) the Taurus is just an odd duck IMO. Especially size and price wise. Now that it's out I'm thinking they should have just let it die and focuses (no pun intended) on the Fusion.

But it's an interesting read.

i don't think the camparo is too far off. they should have tested the performance pack equipped SHO though, since..well....it was a performance comparison?!?! duh.

Yeah that was Ford's fault there.

how is it fords fault? if they did not have the proper car to test, they shouldn't have done the test IMO. ford is not obligated to supply everyone with a test car of their desire.

The article said that Ford new it was a track test and they didn't give them the goods ie Ford's fault. Doesn't make them a bad company or anything, just saying they dropped the ball in this case. :durr

Inside Lines Job it compare cars the auto's give them. And they did that.

Doesn't matter really though. Even equipped with the extra stuff it still isn't as nice or as good of a car as the G37. But again, they are different cars hence why I said it's and "Interesting comparo" to begin with.

Kind of an odd combo, maybe just as odd as an evo, LOL. I did see/hear a g37 the other day though, that exhaust note is pure sex!

VQ's really do have a nice exhaust note. The 350z's and G35's and now the 3.7's all just sound so nice.

14.2 @ 99.1? I guess that adds up for a 4400lb car. I just expected more out of a twin turbo V6.. :( AWD makes sense in racing in lighter cars like WRX STis, but seems wasted on this beat. I'm sure it's fun to drive though.

Can't wait to see one with :nitrous

Yeah but that much power in a FWD car will suck even more.

curb weight of a new SHO = approximately 4,400lbs
curb weight of a TBSS AWD = approximately 4,500lbs

SHO is unibody
TBSS is full framed

curb weight of a TBSS AWD = approximately 4,500lbsReally?

Per the specifications page here (http://autos.aol.com/cars-Chevrolet-TrailBlazer-2009-SS_w_3SS__4x2/specs), the 2WD TBSS is ~ 4500lbs (4496 to be precise)...

The AWD is 4663lbs...

even still, that puts a full framed SUV just 200lbs more then a unibody car.....
