People in minivans that think they are fast DRIVE ME NUTS. I had a dude trying to pass me on the freeway one time with a full van full of family and driving like a total ass. I actually slowed down and let him by cause I felt bad for the kids in the car.

Did it have handicap plates on it? I know a guy that is restricted to a power chair and has no choice but to drive a minivan. He has a ton of money into the van, big stereo, high performance mods, blah blah blah. Yea, its a minivan, but it works for what he needs it to do and its cool that he doesn't let that discourage him :0

Karps TA

Is doing that to a minivan really that much more ridiculous then to a Cobalt or Civic? Or any other non performance car that people dump shitloads of ridiculousness in?

Same shit to me.

Nope,Just double checked the orig pic. I would give him a pass then, adding some cool to a necessary vehicle, we do a lot of testing on handicap vans , both mini and full size.
I guess it's better trying to add a bit of cool to a minivan but I just thought it was funny with the hemi badge and hood scoop in addition to the super bee stuff

Stick on hood scoops suck on anything :)

I don't see the stick on scoops. Put them together with the stripe and it kind of presses the envelope.

I give the guy credit. If you're stuck driving a minivan why not?Amen...if I needed a minivan, why not have some fun with it?

I don't know if they actually toyed w/ the idea of an SRT minivan (I had never seen anything on it), but there was a "R/T" minivan on the showcar circuit a while back. Big sway bars, shocks, wheels and tires...lower final drive, and minor hot-rod accessories to the 3.8 to bump it's power up another 15-20hp over what was then stock iirc. Wouldn't have been anything but a little less sucky minivan...which if I had to own one, would be the way I want it I guess, lol.

I just don't see what the point of modding such a complete utilitarian vehicle like a minvan.

How many people on here would have a Minivan and NOT have a second fun car?

I just hate minvans. I'd never buy one over a CUV. That's just me.

It begs the question of what the point of modding any car is? They are, after all, intended to fill transportation needs on public roads while observing safe driving techniques and at no more than posted speed limits.

If someone wants to make their vehicle more interesting to them, so be it. Why do I have a whole slew of handling mods on an very large old car? It doesn't handle like a miata...but there is no denying it still fun to slog it through the corners hard.

Hell, I'd LOVE to have one of the turbo minivans from chrysler from back in the day...decent fuel mileage, easy 12 sec 1/4 mile potential, and room to take all the dogs I've got around. It'd be a practical blast.

I'm in the belief that not every car should be modified. I also don't think every PERSON should be trying to mod cars.

I have firm beliefs when it comes to cars. For instance, I don't think 240sx's should be show cars. I just don't. I hate seeing it. The engineers developed one of the best chassis in history and I think the car should be driven. Not parked. Go fuck up a Civic with show shit. Leave the 240's to people that like to drive. But that's just how I am. On the flip side, it's their car and if they wanna fuck it up so be it.

hey, to each their own right? I modded cars in the past that should of never been modded.....escorts (x3), cavaliers (x4) ect. I have seen some of those turbo minivans go fast for what they are, infact giving some of the members on here a run for their money if they ever lined up next to eachother. If the mods are done tastefully, look like they should be there, and dont mess up the lines of the car, than I say so be it.

I'm not saying I'm not judgemental. I fuckin know I am.

Dude I'm 29. You keep acting like you know me. You're so deep in hypocrisy you can't see past it.

You're talking shit about about me for being judgmental yet you keep spewing it and trying to act like a saint. At least I'm honest with myself.

I haven't ran into someone like on the internet in a LONG time. You need to get laid or something. And keep runnin those 15.2's You can get a lotta sight seeing done going down the 1/4 mile that slow.

Like I said in my post, I don't like the cars, but it's their cars and they can obviously do what they want.

I don't see what the problem is with me NOT liking someone's car. Like I have to like EVERYONE'S car. Gimmie a fuckin break.

^^ Fuckin' lame. You invested hard earned money to draw attention to your $500 driver? For what? Wasting $20 on some letters that may or may not get noticed at a stoplight is one thing. But putting neons on your beater certifies you as an attention whore.

Just drive that shit. If you are too embarassed to roll a beater for what it is, you will be an act like an ass in anything remotely "cool".
