Goat Roper

Only had time to hit one show and that was South Milwaukee's since we were there anyway for a friend's party. The park was just a mass of people but after I saw where they were firing them from and in what direction I headed for the beach at Grant Park with my son Josh in tow. After watching Josh roll end of end the last 10 feet or so down the ridge we looked around for a good spot to shoot from. We picked those old concrete piers and made our way out probably 30 or 40 feet.
About 10 minutes before South Milwaukee started theirs I believe it was Bay View that started their's. From our vantage point we got both shows and made for some unique shot opportunities.
Budget's were obviously small for South Milwaukee this year, Bay View's looked awesome though.
Gallery has exposure info, ranging from 8 to 10 second exposures, f/9 to f/11. A majority were Iso100-160, dabbled at 200 to see what the sky would do, too bright. White balanced at 4k.
High res available, just ask.

This was one of those shells that blows out in a perfect circle but from where we were we saw it edge wise, looking like some fiery bird.
