What the hell happend at the Oak Creek fire works?
It lasted like 10-15 minutes and then one big ass fireball followed by a mushroom cloud, didn't hear an explosion though.

Then everyone started leaving.

I'm just wondering if it was a certain display?

Just be happy OC had any fireworks at all. A lot of communities didn't even have any this year.

Personally I think they all suck unless you are lighting them yourself.

It's like watching other people have sex.

I had a damn good time in Wind Lake lighting off bottle rockets.

I've seen a lot of fireworks around the area over the years and Brown Deer always puts on a show, they are by far one of the best in the area.

There fireworks always suck. They dont spend any money on their show. The same company that shoots the fireworks downtown shoots Oak Creeks.

rather than saying they sucked, maybe you should be saying there was one big ass fireball, I hope no one was hurt or killed. FYI, there was a malfunction and one of them blew up on the ground, causing the fireball and cloud you saw. So they had no choice but to stop them, it was a safety issue. BTW, thankfully no one was hurt.

Or that fireball was part of the show. They call that creamora. Its a mix of black powder and powdered coffee creamer. 5 gallon bucket = huge fireball.

x2 we sat on the grassy hill behind the old folks home, the show was nice. The kids made a good point though...no food vendors or ice cream trucks or anything.

Either way Oak creek's sucked pretty bad, a lot of people were surprised and dissapointed how it only lasted 10 mins, and no real big bang at the end, Guess it just means new spot for next year instead of OC's for us.

Go to the South Shore Water Frolics fireworks this coming weekend. Get as close to the beach as you can. It is always a good show. They do what is called "blowing up the beach" they blow up salutes on the beach right in front of you. Sat and Sunday.

It wasnt part of the show....had it not happened, the show would have been longer, normal. It wouldn't have 'sucked' as you say. BTW, I thought they were fine while they lasted...short yes, but they would probably have been pretty good if they hadnt had a problem.

I was at a small place called Raymond for their community 4th celibration. Not the biggest firework production, but nice with the added patriotic music over the loud speakers. It was totally random for me as I was there to help a friends karaoke and DJ show that night. I usually go to Oak Creeks show because my GF went to school in Oak Creek and she just is used to that show. The kids went to some friends house here in Muskego where they were blasting their own pyrotechnics. They said it was fun.
