Where do you recommend staying in Florida? Staying around Disney is fine, otherwise if there is another good place to be in the state. Fairly flexible, but just looking for a nice celebratory vacation spot.

Any advice is much appreciated!

Are you going to Disney or FL in general? I hate being staying near Disney but like going to Disney all day, days on end.

I love the beach between West Palm Beach down thru Miami, dont stray far inland without fire arms.

If your on the inboard coast check out Homasasa springs, plan a full day to check it all out.

Sarasota has Siesta Keys and St.Armonds circle if your looking for the best white sand in the world or celebs. In Homasas Springs you can swim with the manatee which is a good time, and Miami is always a great time.

Coming from someone who was raised in Fort myers, do not go there. I would go to West Palm Beach area for nice beaches with clear water.

Florida very much depends on what your budget is.

$$$$$ = Miami, Naples.

$$ = Daytona Beach, Panama city.

Are you looking to do the family thing? Do you just want to relax in the sun? Looking for a good track day? There is a lot to do in Florida. What time of the year do you plan on going? The northern half of the state can get chilly in the winter.

We have a condo on Sanibel Island, west of Fort Meyers. Long beaches, good restaurants, good bars.

Enjoy a few Coronas on the beach. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....................

We are going in August, I may not come back?

There's alot to do in Sarasota/Venice Beach area. Or you could always hit up the Keys. Key West is a bad place to be after dark though.

I found over 100 shark teeth in two days at Venice Beach two years ago. It was a blast.

If you're in Orlando you can hit up Orlando Spin World for some fun. There are a bunch of nice people on fuelslut.net that can give you pointers.

There are some cheap hotels in Walt Disney World Resort if you want to do the Disney thing.
