What car does it have to come from? Will it only work with a T56 from an LT1 car or would an LS1 trans work too?

Yep those be the parts I need for a complete T56 swap into the ole S10. I'm not sure why but its gotta be from an LT1 for some reason. If any1 knows of any local junkyards that may have one please pm me or ssmike1 with a phone number.

Thanks!

all f-body sites that have f-body classifieds and even though some say ls1, there are always tons of cars being parted out

DAMN, i guess i really never thought about price :)

as for the trans, it runs great, just has high mileage. 116k miles. the original owner i bought it from drove freeway to work everyday. think he said it was a 60 mile round trip. and he bought it new in '99.

For price, it all depends on what he needs. Does he want just the trans, or are oyu looking for the whole setup? I have the pedals to go with it as well as a brand new Mcleod adjustable master cylinder, brand new updated slave cylinder, 15k mile LS6 clutch in it, and a brand new Pro 5.0 shifter for it.

so what is he all looking for?

Chris

***UPDATE***

I just found out that its actually easier to run an LS1 t56 than a LT1 because you can use the stock flywheel inc. clutch, starter, and hydraulics.

So if any1 has an LS1 t56 forsale please post up. :)
