This rail only had a LS1. The one with the LS7 never set foot on the sand.

We waited for 10 min for this guy to fall into the big hole that is out there but he missed it everytime.

man I am looking forward to going to the dunes in a couple of weeks here.

Silver Lake Sand Dunes is a blast. Back in 1988 test hill/Mt Baldy was ~200' high. The dunes change so much from year to year. Are the blind dropoffs back yet? Somewhere about 1996 the DNR changed the park a lot. A lot of the beach was lost to motorized use and they shrunk the motorized part down to around 500 acres (it's a 2000 acre park). I think it's down to about 450 acres now. There is about another 1000 acres of woods. The parking lot used to hold like 50 cars and now it's a few acres. And you used to go in and out the same way (where the current out is now) so it kept all the junk off the dunes.

call me stupid, but when I look at those pictures, I would have never guessed those were in Michigan. I had to do a google search to find out that their are all sorts of dunes in MI and IN
