Any HVAC guys or gals on this site. I am in need of some central air work. My system is old, and will be replaced next year but, would like to get a honest answer and maybe a qiuck fix till then.

Fan does not run and the compressor doesnt kick in. Has voltage. Breakers are new.

Keeps blowing the breakers now. 2 circuit breakers, 2 black wires, 1 white. since black is the hot white should be the return right.

The wiring on this system is weird as hell. and doesnt match any wiring online.

Sounds like the compressor could be shorted/done.

If thats the case I will need a new hvac system. Its waste to just replace the central air unit whaen the furnace is just as old.


BTW nice sig, couple of the guys at work love the truck.

Compressor is shorted to ground !!!

I'll give you a buzz tomorrow to shoot the bull and see what direction you want to take with your old system.
