so I'm off today and my fiance had to work from 8-12 in the office.

she calls me at noon and says she has to run some errands...no biggy, since we are leaving for Chicago at 3 to see Dane Cook.

so she walks into the door around 1:30 and hands me a 17" Macbook Pro saying "happy anniversary"

my reaction....WTF! "I've seen you eyeing up macbook pro's lately for all your photo stuff"

right now, I am completely blown away

she said thats the least she could do, since I put a 5k ring on her finger.

Awesome - congrats.

I've really been looking at the new 15" MBP's that just came out. Wish they used the i7 processors, but the battery and screen are nice upgrades. It's more than enough machine for quite some time.

I have a 8 core 3.0GHz Mac Pro (1 gen old) and love it. I just can't sit in a coffee shop or on the couch and get work done :p

I was thinking how cool that is, and that my Wife should take notes - then I remembered she got me a new Weber Genesis gas grille and a Milwaukee v28 cordless drill as "engagement gifts".

WOW you a lucky man, I spent all my money that I saved for the car and ended up get getting a ring for her and all I got was a lousy card:(
