If you already have an S197, you aren't missing anything. Interior isn't as well put together in some ways (round vents on the outside corners, square in the middle part), better in others (like the E-brake and steering wheel). Exterior just doesn't do it for me.

Now the 2010 Taurus SHO, yeah, total sex on wheels for a family sedan:thumbsup

The SHO should be great competition for the G8GXP

Yeah, but the SHO is AWD, which would make it an awesome winter car to!!! And the interior, well, lets just say it could give a BMW a run for it's money, and that's no lie.

I think the G8 blows the SHO away in terms of styling IMO but it wont make a difference since there wont be a G8 by the time the new SHO comes out.

SHO should be in showrooms next month, 38K base, but it's pretty loaded as the SHO is the top Taurus model (base Taurus SE was 23K). What does a G8 sell for??

That's good to hear! The 335xi is going back early next year and a SHO might
be a nice replacement. GXP might be a possibility if I could get one at a good
price in a couple of months, but I do like AWD for around the year fun.

I will let people know when we start seeing the taurus sho.....We should be getting one in soon. As far as the mustang goes, if you wanted to get a bullett, there you go, as long as it has the track pack with the advanced trac controll/stability controll and the 3.73 gears

my buddy is station in fort cambell, kentucky, and when he just returned home about a couple months ago he looked at the new g8 gxp and the 2010 stang gt. price for the g8 was 44-45k where as the mustang was going for 35k. the g8 is a little bit to edgy when it comes to the body design. and for 10k less you could easily have a way faster stang than that g8

Dealership added body kits, stripes and embroidered seats don't make horsepower, they just make an already tubby car a little heavier. We've exhausted this topic in numerous threads so all I will say is if I had 50k in my hand to buy a new sports car I probably would not look at a Mustang of any variety.

acceleration is said to meet or exceed that of a BMW 550i (4.8 seconds to 60 mph and 13.3 seconds at 105.1 mph in the quarter

4.8 0-60 which is quick but only runs a 13.3 @ 105... So a as stock older Evo or STi would pretty much be right there. Heh G8 GT traps 107 and the GXP is 111, fucking pushrod motors......

Anyone else notice it looks like a Legacy or TSX?

It looks like another cookie cutter sedan, atleast the Charger/G8's look aggressive/sporty. That taurus looks like a malibu.

When i buy i car/vehicle, i want it to stand out. When i bought my ram, people knew it was a ram, when my neighbor bought an 08 accord, i thought it was a camry. i told him they all look the same to me.

You should avoid using grammer corrections in your responses, especially when you make an even more critical error only a few posts later. Remember, spell check is there for basic typos, however the basic spell check found here on BCM can't fix the improper usage of plural and singular verbs. You may want to enroll in a third grade english class to help you out with that issue.

As for the SHO, I wonder how well it will sell in general to non-car enthusiast people. The economy is rough, its harder to get financed.... is someone really gonna wanna plunk down $35k + for a loaded pimped out Taurus when they could get a Focus for half the price?

My DD is currently an 08 Taurus, and it is suprisingly nice for the money. Base 10 Taurus is 23K if I remember correctly (I was focused on the SHO model, lol), which to me is A LOT of car for the $$$$. Hell, I bought my 08 fully loaded with 13,000 miles for 15K, and I couldn't have found a better bargain out there for the amount of car I got, and the 10's make the 08/09 look like a Fusion in comparison. Non Ford people don't know that the Taurus isn't like the Taurus of old, that's the Fusion now, the Taurus nameplate is now their "signature" line, more like taking the place of the Crown Vic which is going away. It's just a very nice car that shouldn't be compared to the fleet style Taurus in my mind.

Yeah, the Ford rep said only about 40K total production on ALL 2010 Tauri total, so there won't be many SHO's in that total I wouldn't think. He said there's a chance for a stick though if enough people ask for one. He said that's what brought the SHO back in the first place, grass roots efforts, he said Ford is getting very good at listening to what people want, but then they have to buy the product they have asked for.
