Just wanted to start a thread for all of us to post our comments about the Power Tour this year.

Just went to the Racine stop this year. PACKED!!! Had a GREAT time. Overall the weather was really iffy looking for the day but it turned out pretty good. Still cold as hell on the lakefront but had a great time. So so many nice cars, most from other states other than WI :rolf Also saw a lot of BCMers, BCMer vehicles etc. Tried stopping by everyone's car at least once but man did we run out of time. From the time we arrived till the time we left we were only by our cars for about 20 minutes and STILL didn't see all the cars!! :thumbsup :headbang

Anyone have a count with how many showed up today?

i cant believe how many cars were still filing in when we left. truely seemed to be a GOOD turnout for the event.

I loved it. Best chance to see cars from all over the country that you can never see otherwise.

Yea it was great, got to hear and see great cars all day. I wish that ratio of hot cars was on the road every day here. Probably would lose my license in about 2 week tho.

I heard that today was the biggest day in HRPT history. Oh and I was stuck in that line of traffic at 4 as well. My left foot is about ready to fall off.

agreed a great turnout. I drove out to Madison to meet up with that crew then went again to Racine this morning with the family and everyone had a good time.

Did I miss much if I only went to Madison Saturday and not Racine Sunday? I remember going to Racine two years ago, god I love Hot Rod.

it was bigger than 2 years ago in Racine and 2 years ago it was huge. The Racine stop is getting a reputation for being the biggest and baddest on tour :)

The turnout was rediculous, I myself had a good time, happy to get away from the house, but there was only 2 downfalls. One downfall was that there was a main shortage of port-a-johns by the lakefront so everytime I had to use the restroom I stood in the 3 mile long line, I think if there were no clouds and it was going to be sunny we all woulda been screwed. The 2nd downfall is anytime I go to a car event or anything similar I can't even talk to my own dad(Dr.Ford), because he's bumbarded by people, his nickname from me is Hollywood, lol!

Wow is all I can say, I could not believe the number of cars! It was insane!

I also have to say it was finally nice to meet Jim Plimpton in person. You are not half as bad of a guy as what Bobby makes you out to be.:rolf:rolf:rolf J/K!
Thanks for the Dews:thumbsup It was nice to hang out and chat.

I had a great time in Madison and Racine. We were going to go to IN today but with the weather we decided not to.

We got to Madison right before 9AM and then the stop-and-go started. We didn't get into Racine until after 3. Had a good time screwing around along the way. Some White S10 with a 5.3L conversion gave me a run for my money. Had Iowa plates and the two guys in it were having too much fun. Had to joke with them that their 4.3 was strong! :rolf

It was pretty incredible. Racine is such a gorgeous venue for this. I damn near ran out of gas before making it to Cambridge. Thankfully a farmer watching from a lawn chair gave me the shortcut. 15.3 gallons in my 16 gallon tank. To be honest it was kind of fun just sitting at that elevated gas station and watching the cars go by.

Saw your car again today but not you. I was in the small lot in front, about an 8 iron from your car.

Hope to see you tomorrow in Bristol. I'm going to shell out the $25 for 5 laps and need someone to take a couple pics as we fly by.

I also got some great video from inside the car. I also got some pictures of you rolling down the bank into the track area.

Speaking of the banks, holy $hit were they steep. Didn't feel like that when we were driving did we. Just imagine 33 more cars on the track and going twice as fast.

I hit 67 but we had a chevelle as the last car which was slowing down the pace car. Because of that we got a couple extra laps.

Dan

We hit 85! The guy said he'd go as fast as we could keep up. It was the pace car, an Impala SS and then me. The three of us came around and ran into the guy at the end TWICE. I did have to back out a little in the corners. With the banking, if the Impala got just a little bit ahead of me I couldn't see him. My roof got in the way! :)

Forward along that pic if you get time. That would be cool to see.

Thanks.
