If you've never been to an NHRA event, you HAVE to go! Just got back from Joliet, went to my first NHRA race today and I am hooked! There is NOTHING like feeling the power of those top fuel and funny cars....then go in the pits when they fire up those 8,000 hp engines and the nitromethane sears your eyes and lungs and eardrums feel like they're going to explode- INCREDIBLE!!!
Expensive? Yeah! But well worth it. I snapped some shitty pictures, I was too much in awe to concentrate on getting decent ones. I had the chance to meet a BCM member, "Whistlin' Six" Mike D. He's a mechanic for the Funny Car driven by Bob Bode. Mike, wish we could have met up in the pits, but thanks for taking the time to say hi while you guys were getting ready to lay down a 4.174/302.28mph pass! :thumbsup

Ashley is gorgeous in person. NHRA races are awesome and Joliet is just a great place to watch. Glad you had fun!

Im going to day with a 50% chance of rain... go me!!!!

but I will admit, joliet usually has that weird circle around it where it storms AROUND the tracks, but rarely on.....I hope that holds true today.

rained for about 20 minutes saturday but they had the track dry and were back racing within an hour. who else went?

rained 3 hrs yesterday from 9am to about 12:30. racing didnt start till 1ish

what's this new tv commercial featuring Ashley Force I keep hearing about? I've heard about it from 3 different people but nobody can tell me what it's for, all they say is she's wearing black leather and looks hot. searched online but can't find anything...
