I tried to do somethimg a lil different, I was gonna go with sunset orange metallic but didnt think it would look right on a monte.

umm not sure on the specific name its a gm color from the late 90's just went to ppg and went through there color books. There were some pearls and other stuff added to color to make it slightly brighter than factory.

Orange sunset metallic or the brazen orange on some 06' GTO's is one of my favorite colors, would of loved to see it on a Monte :D . I've seen wild colored ones online including the sunset orange, mostly "donk" variety and while some of those cars are hideous the color looked fine with blacked out trim, IMO. Whenever I get the time/money to repaint my LS I was thinking that color but with the chrome trim I'm not sure it would look right.

I am looking forward to seeing the car together in full pictures out in the sun! Monte carlo SS's have always been one of my favorite cars. Depending on how you did it, the SOM would have looked good, but not with chrome. I am painting my 86 camaro SOM and am having a hard time picking wheels. Good luck on gettin her done! Post more pics when you do!
