Definitely a hellofalot better looking than Chris's car, but unlimited class is all about building the craziest shiat out there and make it work. FAST times for sure!

On sprint cars the front spoiler makes a huge difference.

They have some "special events" that are wingless shows, and it's not even mandatory to run a front spoiler at least in MSA, now World Of Outlaws, I have no idea what the rules are. But one of our drivers has been in dirt track racing for years as well as my dad. And they both say that the car gets all squirly in the corners without a front spoiler and in straight aways it keeps the front end on the ground.

you obviously dont know much about racing that consist of turns do you?

most cars that turn left AND right had negative camber

That much camber is ridiculous. I'm sure it just has shitty suspension geometry and the extra 500lbs of downforce is making jest of the shitty geometry.

if it's an unlimited car, i'm sure the suspension geometry has been tweaked for that ride height and that much downforce... time attack is becoming what all the import drag racing was back in the late 90's... i love it! more turn fast parts!!!

that much camber isnt ridiculous, its needed if you want a fast car in turns. Esp. with that much downforce in front

It is ridiculous. You don't need 4° of negative camber, maybe a degree or two. We're not talking about 10" of sidewall here.

Further, that inside tire is unloaded. So if it's properly set up then the inside tire would flatten out when in hard cornering.

The thing has so much negative camber it probably eats tires up quick.

^^^^^ proof of straight line racer ( not trying to be rude here )

-4 is a bit aggressive yes, but it all depends on the driver and his style, the track, the suspension, spring rate. weight, tires etc

on my evo I ran -2.5 front, -1.25 rear camber, zero toe all around. ( zero toe is key ) on a sprited driven, SCCA, HPDE, time attck. and that was my best set up settings, with my fastest times. BUT it all depends on your track!

my car was FAR from a track only car, so I dont know how you can say "only a degree or 2"

on a seperate note, after googling your handle "Domokun", I was directed to a wikipedia page about a cartoon character named Domokun. At the end of one of the paragraphs, I saw:
Domo-kun is known to pass gas repeatedly when nervous or upset.

rediculous front wing is the first...I've never seen nor has the racing crowd that I know. but everyone has a seen a wing at ground level ( hence indy, F1 etc )

It's not all that crazy, i bet its about -5 to -7 deg. Hell i run the evo -2 on the street and that's as far as i can go with the factory bolts.

I love having a car with double a-arm suspension that gains negative camber when loaded. -2* up front/-1* rear is considered an aggressive, race ready stance:)

What are the rwd and awd unlimited cars running at willow?

I pulled the 4° number out of my ass. It's probably a lot more than that. In that picture the tire is unloaded and still has at least 4° of negative camber. Normally you aim for increasing camber as the suspension is loaded and decreasing camber, even into the positives, when load is removed. Running a metric shitload of camber is just going to overheat your tires.

A couple degrees in the front and a degree in the rear is pretty normal and won't eat tires. Heck, look at all the second generation Ford Explorers with worn out front-ends. haha.... 4-5-6-7... not so much. Usually is a side-effect to poor geometry. FWD cars usually have shitty geometry and a fscked up ackerman angle anyway due to space constraints.

A degree is a pretty large unit... might seem small when looking at a 6" protractor or on a 22" tire... but on a 30" tire a degree is a lot.

Yeah, the FX Motorsports NSX ran a TRACK record of 1:18.555.

For a bit of comparison....the previous overall track record was held by the AMA Superbike 1000cc class is 1:18.9xx. The car record was broken 4 times in the same day when the NSX crushed the others by almost 4 seconds!

Here are two vids of the race -- one overview, and one IN-Car from the NSX:
