Well I've been sittin around trying to think of a fun car/bike to play with. I've always had saabs and know them pretty well inside and out but losing interest in playing with them as it's not a challenge anymore. I've been thinking about getting a 600cc rocket, but cant find any of those for $2k unless they're old and ugly as hell. So that leaves me with cars, I've had my fun with camaros, granted i havent had an LS1 car but i wont find one of those for $2k either. I've been thinking of 240sx hatchbacks, 2nd gen RX7's, Porsche 944's, just something older and RWD basically, or if the right FWD car came along I may be interested in playing. I just need it to run and drive (or be clean body with bad motor for cheap), not be a total rot box, and it absolutely has to be manual.

If you have anything that might interest me that you dont want anymore let me know, open to bikes as well but I doubt there's anything for $2k worth anyones time in the bike market. Just let me know, kinda bored these days.

I have an 89 honda vtr250 for less then $2000:banana. It's not a 600, but it is a DOHC liquid cooled V-twin w/ a 6 speed transmisson. Comes with cheap insurance, good gas mileage, and it's very fun to ride. I'm asking $1800 for it.

My brother has a 240sx as well. I don't know much about it, he just traded his turbo civic for it a few days ago. It needs some body work/interior work but the driveline is fine. I believe he told me it has a skyline rearend in it and it's set at nine lbs of boost. I think his bottom line is $4200 though, so that's probably a lot more then you wanted to spend.

I found a couple things. Since I was looking for some racebikes for some trackdays.

You can usually find some stuff that is still a clean title for around that much. That's what I had set out starting to look at budget wise.

Find a couple of $2500 bikes like an old '96'-'98 GSXR 600 for around that and just talk the person down? Even found a couple of R6's for that 2000-2500 range.

Sometimes I just wish the people on craigslist would actually respond, haha

Yeah I have noticed that no one on craigslist replies until that random e-mail shows up a week and a half later and you forget which item you even sent the e-mail about originally anyways.

As for the bike full throttle i'm kinda set on a 600, but i know a few people just lookin for somethin to ride i'll ask around. I'd be willing to pay $4200 for your brothers 240 is i had it =P

Shit i wouldn't have minded at all, hell of a lot easier than a fuel pump in a car, no rust to deal with =P

what about an old bug or something? Build a motor on the cheap, they are easy/fun cars to work on and parts can be found easily. Slam it, turbo it etc
