looking for a charger for one of those electric ride-on toys...it's a Dumar brand "Yamaha Raptor" atv, 12V

When I swapped an automotive style battery in my kids
Barbi Jeep (no hood, monster reserve capacity!) I just
left two jumper leads exposed to hook up a car charger.
The small toy battery will take a charge the same way.

the battery used is a 12V 12Ah cycle battery...safe to use a common car battery charger? My Blue Point charger specs are
Power supply- 120VAC 60hz 4.4a
Output range- 12vdc 1a-16a
Optimal battery range- 25AH-200Ah

would this work for that small of a battery without blowing it up?

Probably better off using a 1 amp charger on that small of a battery. One with auto shut off would be the best.

I checked out some chargers at Fleet Farm and they have 12V 1amp motorcycle battery chargers starting at about $25 compared to the $75 for the ones specifically made for these little Powerwheels toys :wooo

That would be perfect, they already have circutry to keep from
overcharging. My own little 3amp/7amp trickel charger could
be left on that battery indefinately without cooking that battery.
