I have a question for the photography people here, what does a baby have to do to get into photo shoot gigs? My future wife is asking about it, so I thought I would ask around in here. She's like the best baby in the world, always laughing and smiling, and wherever I take her people tell me how cute of a baby she is. Thoughts??

I was afraid when she was born, she looked just like me, it was scary. Thankfully, she's looking more and more like her mom every day, I sleep much better at night now:rolf

Baby model agencies. They will tell you whether or not she is worthy.

I didn't even know such things existed in the midwest, I just figured that shite was on the coasts.

I don't think I have ever seen her not smiling. She's always giggling too - super cute!

We had several cold call letters sent to us after taking Trace to Sears for baby pics. I just figured there was some sort of reciprocal agreement with the agency. I have heard it can be a lot of work on the parents. Good luck with it though.

don't fall into that trap. It'll cost you TONS of money and your kid has about a .00000009% chance of being in print because every new parent out there thinks their kid is the next "it" model, modeling agencies are flooded with kids.
Don't fall for a "modeling agency" scam. If you get something in the mail or see something online, forget about it.
The nephew of a good friend got noticed at a restaurant in Chicago by an ad-exec, within 3 months the kid was shooting a commercial for FoamBlaster kid's soap, McDonald's and is now under contract with Disney for print media.

That's how that schit happens.

try KOHLS on brown deer rd...they have a new building there just for shoots...contact them on what you want,....maybe start with baby clothing...worth a shot...otherwise you have to go to Chicago for some of the bigger name agencies....

don't fall for the contests as well..before you know it bob,...your into a shit load of cash for photo shoots and nothing in the end but empty cameras....seen it happen too many times...but what do i know..only been shooting 28 years and have seen it way too many times...they thrive on guys like you..trust me..everyone thinks their kids are the cutest and model material and these people are like blood suckers to people like you....
