from my understanding, and someone can correct me if wrong, it is a place full of odd things happening. brooms stand on their own, balls roll up hill, water runs uphill, and stuff like that.

Basically optical illusions. There were a lot of these places across the US at one time. That article has been around for quite awhile now since February 07.

That's exactly what it was. I think it was just an illusion in how it was built. A quaint little place.
