I've had Alpha Gyros on Calhoun and Mr. Gyros on Greenfield.


Any other places I should try?

gyros west on moorland. The food is always good and the service is top notch.

The first/last time I had a Gyro with the dark meat it almost made me ‘pass out’ standing up, literally. Never before or not since has a food affected me to that extent, but I will say it was :drool: worthy......

Too bad I think the only place in Milwaukee is a place across the street from Pizza Shuttle on the east-side... Never been there, just heard they have it.

A shawarma is basically gyro-type meat chopped up smaller, pan-fried with a few extra spices, then put on a pita with a sauce that is spicy as hell. Damn good at 7am in Amsterdamn after a night of drinking on the Leidseplein... It most definitely is DA BOMB!
