Who's running manual steering on their car?

I'm debating putting the manual box I have in the 64 for less messing around and cleaner look. It's a P/S car but without a pump. I have a 64 pump and lines but the bracket is off a jetstar 88 (fullsize) and puts the pump where the upper rad hose goes rather than more off to the side like a cutlass would be.

I was also considering switching to a later G-body 442 box with better ratio and feel but not sure about that either :rolf I know you need to use a special rag joint that adapts the newer box to the older column, and the pitman arm I think will have a little less arc.

Well I have another 64 manual box I can just swap on, I was just thinking if I wanted to stay with P/S I may swap the gbod 442 one in but I'll probably just go with the manual 64 box and see how I like manual, haven't had manual since my old S10 almost 20 years ago

The cobra has a manual rack. Engine looks clean with no a/c and the alternator sitting low. It requires some muscle to navigate parking lots but by the end of summer you'll be ripped.:goof

DAMN!^^^^ :rolf

Yeah I think I'll try it, since I already have the box, it'll only cost time. If I don't like it, then I'll maybe try the newer box swap.

I would love a manual gear for the S10!!!! along with a F1 :), I have a power gear now, minus the pump.....

My Malibu left the factory with manual steering. Navigating parking lots and driveways isn't really that bad. It does get a little interesting when you hit 2nd or 3rd gear and she starts going sideways....that 15 turns lock to lock makes it pretty interesting to correct it......especially when you're trying to find the gears on the column shifter. :wooo
