Did anybody on this board back in the day skate at turf? I was there 87-91 skating had a blast, someone told me about some of the pics taken at turf were hanging in a building on 1st and Pittsburg. Did some checking and came across this article http://skateandannoy.com/2009/05/13/turf-re-birth/ maybe one day the turf will be back!! I know I would skate it again!! Probably break my hip in the process. :headbang

That was Loomis and 894 right? I was pretty young when it was around. Never really went there. When did it close up?

never skated there, I was more into bikes, but I spent plenty of time there watching my buddies bust their shit....and checkin out the Betty's.
There's a campground in Warrens (jellystone) that has a kickass skatepark with a 10 foot deep concrete bowl, took the r/c car for a run there last year:thumbsup

Skate or die doesn't count! LOL.

I have great memories of Turf and all the dudes that skated there. It was a pretty cool skate park, a lot of kids were quick to help out with tricks that were hard to master, staff was cool, music rocked Misfits Plan 9, metallica, anthrax, etc.. I remember the pro shop with the yellow paint on the walls and all the boards hanging up on the wall just waiting for me to get some cash which I never had to buy them! Good times, It was cool when you threw your helmet and pads on and walked through the door to do your skate session with the garage doors open in the summer!!! Man the first time skating there was the best feeling in the world! AHHH good times!!:thumbsup

Coolest thing I was on e-bay and they are remaking a lot of powell, santa cruz, g&s, sims and vision decks!!! I might have to break out the CC and do some shopping!! LOL

Nope, I bought all my stuff from Sporty's in Franklin on 76th and Rawson. I dropped so much money at that place it wasn't even funny. I remember the skate shop in South Milwaukee, but they were always trying to rip people off.

Went there a few times:thumbsup I get kind of jealous everytime I drive by the skate park south of 94 in delafield, my knees tell me to forget about it though.

I built launch ramps and played around in my col-de-sac because I never could get anyone to take me there :(

I still have my skate board
