Well I have noticed that pretty much all the pics I take look like crap once they are uploaded into photobucket. They look way better then what is shown after I host them. I am thinking about going to smugmug as I have read good things about them.

I would like to know first from some of you guys that have a better understanding of this stuff if it is something I am doing wrong when converting to jpeg. I always shoot in raw and PP in Paint shop pro x. The pics usually turn out good but once I host them in photobucket they don't look good anymore. I think they and a pixel max maybe? Can anyone shed some light on this and tell me if smugmug will be better for hosting?

Thanks

I havent started a smug mug account yet, but intend to. You should really look into Flickr tho as well. I cant remember what I pay per year, I know it is significantly lower than smugmug though. For that I get unlimited uploads, unlimited picture size (so my pics at 5+ megs will still upload just fine), decent organization tools and so on. As I understand it, Smug mug is a better place to present your photos for the purpose of conducting business as you have the ability to sell your stuff.
