From what I understand, unless you are increasing the size of the rotors, you are not going to have much of an impact on stopping power. Your better off spending the money on brake pads. Unless your on the track, I think it's more of a style thing then anything else.

If you get x-drilled, don't cheep out. They'll crack. Otherwise slotted rotors usually eat pads.

Drilled rotors are an appearance thing. They take away surface area and weaken the rotor. There has been a lot of debate on this and the general consensus is that it's just for looks, and in reality detracts from stopping power. Look at racing teams (I don't mean the kid that takes his car to auto x events) and take note of what they use for road racing and circle track cars. Get a quality set of rotors that won't warp when they get hot, and a good set of pads like Hawks.

Isn't the purpose of the slots, dimples and drilling to help cool the rotors? All they do is reduce brake fade when your doing alot of braking.

If you want more stopping power its all in the size of the pads, rotors and the clamping force that the caliper can generate.
Look for a larger diamater rotor, and bigger calipers that are at least dual piston.
