Sounds like you got something stuck in your brakes. Disc? Drum? How many miles since last brake service. Might be a shoe or pad needs replaced. Some have a thing in the material that squeals to let you know to take it in.

brakes have less than 15K on them. Tuesday I took the pads off, scuffed them and the rotors, greased the pads, caliper pins, and pad springs, nothing changed with the noise.....

sounds to me like you need new pad shims.

I'll second that, harmonic squeal of the pad rubbing
for/aft during braking. Remove pad and put about
anything you can find in between and redrive to confirm.
Peice of thin porous tin, aluminum foil ect.

Anything right down to a dab of silicone sealant will
cure it, grease is NOT a suitable test as it will be worse
when it burns off.

well, I guess "grease" is the wrong term, he actually used anit-sieze, the stuff they have in the shop at the dealership with nickel in it i believe. supposedly, the shit is a PITA to get off of whatever it gets on.....

Anti-seize is designed to keep fasteners from getting stuck, so it might not work for the pads. Also, the nickle/copper in anti-seize is in very small pieces, so it really won't serve as a suitable barrier. It DOES work well for the guides.

You might be able to pick up some anti-noise grease at an auto parts store, but I'm more likely to suggest small sheet of metal technique. Aluminum foil might not work if it falls apart.

Also, cheap pads will squeal even when brand new. That's why you never buy the $13 pads, not saying you have those, but...
A few years ago I threw out a set after a week of use, thought I was saving myself $20/30... hah, never again.
