I ordered the body last night, should be here tomorrow or Friday. I ordered this camera after reading some posts here and reading up on the internet. Seemed to be the perfect fit for me. Also, one of my brothers has the same camera and is giving me the 18-55 lens that I would have gotten with the kit. (saved me some money) Very excited to start getting some good shots of my kids playing sports and other stuff. Also learning stuff along the way so I can understand what you photo guys are talking about. :thumbsup

Anyway, thank you BCM photo guys for alot of good info in this forum. :)

Nice Wish I had the ching for that. I would like a good digital slr before I go out west in august.

OT at work enabled me to finally pull the trigger on a decent camera. I called my brother and asked him what he had, and when he said he had the XSI and offered me the lens I pretty much had to go with that. lol

Id like one of the BCM shutter bugs to shoot my junk sometime. I have no clue to angles or lighting effects.

Thanks Nick, I know you are really into the photography and will certainly seek info from your posts. I thought this was a good starter dslr for me because it wont be outdated by next week.

I just replaced my 28-135 IS if you're interested in a great all-around lens.

$300, absolute pristine condition, retails for around $400.

Took some pics after going to Target and getting the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Telephoto Zoom Lens for $199. My little guys soccer game gave me an opportunity to practice a little bit. Here are a few.
