View Full Version : Armed Forces Week display

Anybody else go down to the armed forces display at the 128th Refueling wing? Just static displays but overall a nice way to spend a few hours. The kids of course loved being able to handle guns, especially the FPS favorite M249 Saw :thumbsup Great way for everyone to get involved in Armed Forces Week.

Parking was at the MATC lot on Howell and people were bused to the event. The line to get through security and onto the buses was HUGE when we got back. We left after there was a wind shift and it got cold as hell so please, if you have any shots I missed post'em up :thumbsup

feeling a bit tired to get started on my pictures, but what a display, huh? I thought it was great, very very cold, but very awesome. Great pictures!

It was pretty cool when the fighters took off to head back to madison. Those things get up and GTFO real quick and make a lot of noise doing it.

The C5 Galaxy is THE plane. I would have LOVED to have seen it take off! :wooo

Oh yeah I did hear it from my house I think last friday, and I knew it was a C5 right away. the engines make such a distinct noise.

I was sitting at my desk yesterday morning here in Franklin, thought I heard something loud as hell taking off to the south.

Yeah, the B-1 was very loud. I was wondering how the people in the parking lot off of layton handled the jet blast.
