Went to see it last night, was definitely better than I thought it was going to be. They did a pretty good job of selecting people to play the younger versions of Kirk, McCoy, and Scotty. I am a pretty hard core star trek fan so I didnt like how they changed some stuff but overall it was a very good movie. :thumbsup

Going next weekend to see it with an old friend from high school who was a complete Star Trek freak. Havenn't seen him in 15 years and it doesn't sound like much has changed at all

I saw it last night too. We loved it. The GF stayed awake during the whole thing. In one scene they mention drinks in the bar menu and mention a Cardassian drink. I don't think they meet Cardassians until TNG and DS9. Over all though, it was damned good.

Yeah I noticed alot of inaccuracies, thats what you get when you dont have someone who really knows star trek writing and producing the movie.

But then it is science fiction and will be rewritten numerous times as far as details of the history is concerned.

I saw it on Sunday.

I am not a Trekkie, but I thought the movie kicked ass!

I told my warrie friend that this might make him ditch the whole light/dark side.

Saw it on Thur. This movie was so full of win. I'm not a trek fan either, and thoroughly enjoyed this movie.

It's also an alternate timeline, so you have to remember things are different because of that.

They have just paved the way to as many additional movies in the lineup for the next 15 years because of the alternate timeline. They will make BILLIONS.
