That is the question....

Going back to Cali in a few weeks, thinking about picking this up and yes its turbo...

All said and done I would be 12g's in the hole + 4,000 I owe on my stratus :alcoholic

My young side is saying yes, my mature side is saying wait a few years...blahhhhhhh.

My Z is more than enough car and will always be my favorite cream puff pride and joy but my friend is cutting me an awesome deal...sigh..

Nice car, but don't do it. I made that mistake when i bought my t/a. Though I love the car, I regret waiting.

I would do it, but you will need/want a car to drive everyday (rain/snow/etc) a supra is a pretty big handful and not to mention with intake/downpipe/boost controller it will be damn near as fast as your Z.

What kind of price is he gonna give it to ya for? The problem is getting a loan on a Supra. only credit unions seem to be giving loans for them still.

The problem is the age of the car (higher rate) and it's value. Although you and I might know what it's worth - KBB or other sources they might use to find a value wont say the same.

If you are getting a *good* deal, I would do it. It's not going to be around "when you have cash" and you probably won't find the car you want when you do have cash.

There's always ways to make extra money and pay stuff off. Much less likely chance of finding something you really want down the line.

I found my two tone Mirage four years ago out of complete luck. I have been looking on and off ever since (just to see what's out there) and have yet to find another car as clean or as good of a deal as the one I got. Gotta jump on deals like that. You could always sell that clean CA car for what you bought it for (or more) up here anyways so it's not like you're losing money.

People never got ahead by playing it safe and not taking chances and risks.

Christopher Columbus wasn't looking for America but that still seemed to work out for everyone.

So you would have the Z and supra? Seems like the same car to me, i would just stick to one and build it up.

Thats probably the mitsu 3000GT you are thinking of. Also a 3.0L TT setup with AWD.

That was the other option running through my head, I do want a supra someday though (and a Vr4 but that can definitely wait) I just dont know when another TT supra will come around for $12k :guns1

I know the supra and the 3gt VR4 will both be collector cars someday since they were 2 of 3 Japanese super cars in America which is one of the main reasons I want them and I strongly believe the 300zx twin turbo will be the next superbird, mark my words.

whats the specs on teh supra?

miles? year? auto or 6spd?

if it's a 6spd TRUE original tt 6spd car GET IT NOW

and it appears to be a hardtop which is VERY rare.. so if it is a TT 6spd hardtopper get it just to turn around and sell it.

Yeah, if it's clean for 12k i would say thats a hard deal to pass up.

Edit, auto eh, that would make it a hard choice for me i think. I guess there is always the 6 speed swap!
