Who has resisted the urge to change to discs on their classic that originally came with drums?
Anyone hardcore enough to still run the suicide master as well?

Mine still has both but the master needs to be replaced, and sitting on jackstands means I 'm not concerned about stopping distance at the moments:goof

I still rock both. A new suicide master will work fine...as long as its new. Drums also...no problem stopping my car with good drums. I'd say run em. At some point though I would like to go to a dual master but thats only because I have plans to make the car giddy up a little bit more than it does at the moment. :)

I'm contemplating a front drum swap on my GTO. I heard with alum drums they dissipate heat better.

You'd get a new car before they came in anyway:rolf

Yeah I am gonna roll with the drums for a while, it's not a Pro touring car.:goof I am going to go with the dual reservoir master instead of the suicide master though.

Gumby is still rockin 4 wheel drums. stopping the first time is marginal at best......repeated stopping is downright scarey.lol

4 corner drums here...definitely doing a front disc swap...contemplating 4 wheel disc just for *cool* factor.

Tell me about it. My Dad was still running factory front drums and 1955-1963 Chevy rear drums on his '41 Ford P/U and my Moms '40 Ford sedan. The pickup at the time was running 12.50's and the sedan was running 14.40's.....and you needed all of the shutdown at the 'grove just to try to make the 1st turn around. If you hit the breaks too hard the first time after going through the lights and got the shoes hot, the pedal went damn near to the floor after that and you were crossing your fingers to make the 2nd turn around......but it was alot of fun too. :goof

It adds to the excitement of driving an older car:rolf
