I was on HWY 100 today and saw a silver GTR going in for gas so I thought I would stop and check it out. Turns out it was a mechanic (not a salesman, a uniformed mechanic) just filling it up with gas for the sale. Sticker was 87K (it jumped 10K for 09 from what the guy was telling me), plus a 10K dealer mark up, so 97K. Guy said the guy was going to buy the GTR or a Lambo, and chose the GTR. That's a bold statement.


Good looking car though, that's for sure! Don't get the orange painted calipers though, they don't match anything else.

lambo vs. GTR? Hmm tough call there :rolf. I suppose though, maybe he got the GTR as a beater and is waiting for 0% financing deals on the lambo :)

97k, why in the world would you pay that much for a GT-R.

You can pick up the MY2009s for under 80k and the MY2010s for like 85k (MSRP) even a little less.

Must be nice to have enough cash to pay 12k extra.

The Lambo is asking $160k. The GTR is about haft the price, im sure his parents are very happy about buying the GTR :).

Anyone who's mommy and daddy bought them a high end car I can't give props too, even more so an exotic. I appreciate the people that actually earned and worked for their cars, put blood sweat and tears into them.

But how many of us can afford a GTR? Even working ours ass off. I wouldnt mind if my parents buying me a GTR :), fu#k i got an 88 civic coupe from my dad when i was in high school. Again i wouldnt buy my high school son a GTR .

If your parents bought you a GTR out of high school how would your view on cars be now? I believe a different level of car enthusiasm is made when you earn what you have instead of it being spoon fed to you.

My first car was a neon that my mom bought for me when I graduated high school and I beat the living crap out of it....I ended up totaling it being stupid. Now that I am bit older I respect the road more..I can't even begin to imagine having that kind of power at that age.
