I am picking up a bike (motorcycle) from 15 miles into Illinois either Sunday or Monday. Anyone here have a bike trailer or a truck with a big enough bed for a bike? It measures 82" long, about 27" wide, and 45" tall, only weighs about 380 lbs.

Will pay with cash or beer (for gas + your time), whatever you prefer. Ride is just over an hour long.

Let me know.

I don't have a bike trailer but I do have a utility trailer that would work as long as its strapped down tightly. I'd be willing to haul it tomorrow anytime.

well I have a truck with a 7 foot bed, and it has hauled a lot of shit in it. you will need to supply the tie down straps though

Just ride it.

I'm a noob rider, I probably could do it but don't want to risk it (plus it is going to rain the next few days and I just want it home).

PMs sent to those offering help, thanks.

If you can't find anyone or worried about it falling over, try uship.com. They are dirt cheep. I bet you could have it shipped by a pro, insured, to your door for $100. I had my bike shipped door to door 1000 miles for $350!

the sierra tows better than you might expect. I have moved several bikes and my 4000# tool box a couple times and it still gets about 16 mpg when towing. I know it surprised me that it does so well too.

sounds to me like it is just as good as hauling a bike in the bed of a 4x4 ranger
