Need VIN# ran

Can anyone run a VIN# for me? I'm looking for a bike and I have it down to one or two so I don't want to buy the full subscription thing like I would if it was a car.

p.s. Does Carfax even work on motorcycles? Some say yes, some say no. The VIN I ran for the bike I'm looking at didn't work.
