After taking some pics, i was thinking the ass end of my truck needs something. I had a buddy of mine Photoshop a Daytona Spoiler on. Tell me what you think. Also if you like the spoiler, should i continue the stripes onto it?? Thanks.

Fast trucks dont need spoilers.

its not Rodrigez, so it wont work. :)Im not sure on the wing either, i just think my ass end looks plain. Anyone have any ideas??

Not a big fan either. Not to mention that you won't ever be able to load anything taller than that spoiler into your truck without removing it. Unless its really light and you can lift it over the bedsides.

fiberglass cover and call it a day about the only good looking option oh no spoiler on it I also agree with roll pan get a hidden hitch behind it it will fuck shit up if they hit you, I had one on a 4x4 s10 plate lifted up and bar went through there work very well

Yeah, a Fiberglass tonneau cover would look nice. I have even seen them with a very subtle wing spoiler. If done right they look ok, but they can also get very, very tacky without much effort.

i had a hard tonneau, but i got rid of it because i use the bed too often, and you are right about the spoiler, it would mess up using the bed. A Pace Edwards cover is going on towards the end of summer.

here is a pic of the tonneau, it never fit right, squeeked constantly, and was all scratched up from the previous owner.

If you're going to put a whaletail on it you might as well get the chrome for below the bodyline and some stick on hoodscoops.

Maybe you can get the ghetto rumblebee sticker to put on the beside too.

If anything, get a different bumper.

Does Chrysler make any non-step bumpers for it? I think a non-step bumper would make it look a lot cleaner, especially if you could hide some of the Dodge Danglers (Chrysler always has tons of stuff hanging under their vehicles).

The SRT bumper, but it has cutouts for the exhaust. You basicly have to go aftermaket.

FTR i think roll pans are kinda lame on trucks anyway. I'd leave the back end alone, maybe some fatter tires if you want the back end to look a little meaner. And get them more even with the side of the bed for a meaner stance rather than tucked way underneath like you could tip it over easily.

Something like this, maybe not so wide:

that looks badass!!! but they would never fit.

between this site and the dodge one im on, i think im going to drop the rearend 1.5 inches to level it out and then leave it alone.

I'm sure you could get something in there fatterthan stock... it just looks sooo stock lol
even some 285's or something should fit and look nice if you adjust the backspacing to move them closer to outside. Give it that more triangular solid-stance look

I would definately drop it like you said but have you considered debadging it and maybe putting some duals on it with some chrome tips?? Dodges always sound awesome with and exhaust and it looks cool too. Maybe this will give you a couple ideas, it's my truck. And yes the Holz sticker is gone!

What about some simple rails, in black. I think this will "toughen" the look of your truck in the back and also add a functional part that is cosmetically appealing?

i have thought about debadging, i was thinking of painting the badges black so they look like how the 96 impalas looked, they were there, but you had to look for them. As far as the exhaust, i have side exhaust and it sounds bad ass.

Have you considered painting the badges an electric red? It would really pop against the shiny dark body, and it would be a bit uncommon.........

running boards, no. I don't think thats gonna make it look any better.

Maybe 1/4" wheel spacers and some slightly wider tires. In my opinion, roll pans are fugly.

Are your tail lights tinted? I'd recommend that if they aren't.

And shave the badges.

PureSound15

I don't mind a roll-pan on a lowered truck with big wheels. But it is odd with the whole off-road 4x4 look.

88Nightmare
04-22-2009, 02:00 PM
I suppose a roll pan can be acceptable, but not on there. They look ok on something like a chevy s10 xtreme. I guess it depends on the truck as a whole. A roll pan can look good on one truck, and look gay on another. Almost as gay as modifying a base model cobalt.

animal
04-22-2009, 02:08 PM
Bleh. People with rails on their truck look like they shop from the truck section of summit lol. If you're gonna bolt random metal to the truck and put on a "ROFL pan", why not also get a roof spoiler, a huge bumper, and a bunch of diamond plate to round things out.

And Debadging = rice.

You gotta kinda decide which way you're going to go so you don't end up borrowing pieces from all the trucks out there (lifted, hick, lowrider, sport, racetruck!, etc) and making a complete mess.

88Nightmare
04-22-2009, 02:11 PM
how is debadging = rice? You are simply removing stuff to give the body a smooth look. Its not like you are removing the factory badges and slapping on autozone skulls.....

animal
04-22-2009, 02:13 PM
Yeah but it's something lame that ricers do ;) Especially when you're really doing nothing else to it. A full paint job leaving out badges would be one thing. Simply removing them and terming it "smooth" sounds like ricer 101.

-stew-
04-22-2009, 02:16 PM
And Debadging = rice.
.

This. An hour with some fishing line and a bottle of goo-gone does not make you George Barris. Back in the day when de-badging and removing trim involved real body work, it was something to brag about. In today's world of badges being no more than 3D stickers, shit's just not as cool as it used to be.

88Nightmare
04-22-2009, 02:17 PM
ricers also tend to put different wheels on their cars. does that mean if the owner of a camaro ss changes his wheels, then he is a ricer too?

We're talkin shaving badges here. Not shaving door handles, mirrors, bumpers, spoilers, and fiberglassing your license plate on your trunk lid at a 45º angle with suicide lambo gullwing doors :D

my silverado came with very limited badging from the factory. The obvious grille emblem, two 4x4 stickers (one on each side of the bed by the taillight), a "LT" badge just behind the rear doors on the side of the cab, and one Silverado badge on the tailgate. Nothing on my doors like many pickups have. Does that make my truck factory rice? :D

No roll pan, tint the tail lights and leave the spoiler off. One thing to consider would be to extend the hood stripes down across the grille bars and bumper like a Viper stripe.
