View Full Version : Ok Gents, need a camera recommendation please

My parents want a new point & shoot. They would like the basics, auto-focus, red-eye reduction, zoom. They would like to keep it under $200 and they are open to buying from an online vendor. Shoot me some recommendations from the good companies such as Canon, Nikon, etc. Muchas Gracias- Dan

any camera would work for those features.... i've had canon and nikon and personally like canon better...
but ritz cameras on lilly and capital is going out of business, so i would suggest checkin there first for some discounts.

I bought this one for my finace for Christmas and it takes really nice pictures and is very easy to use. Has quite a few nice features as well.

The A2100IS is $250 but a brand new model, you should be able to find the A2000IS cheap right now; http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=183&modelid=18295

Good quality, constructed well and have image stabilization
