After 12 hours of labor, only 2 in the hospital, and an 11 minute delivery. Annabelle Marie has been born. Healthy active little girl, lots of dark hair. 7lbs 11oz and 21" long. Born at 5:50PM at Waukesha Memorial. Pictures will follow once I can run home to get the laptop.

Oh we'll be out Wayne. You're all Aunts/Uncles/Grampa... :thumbsup

Everything went just plain awesome. Nurses said it was the best possible thing for both Amy and Baby. After they got Amy all cleaned/showered up we had a few family visitors and everything was great. The on-call Dr. said we couldn't have asked for a more healthy little girl. AND directly on her scheduled due date.

2:30PM- She called my work, asked me to come home. Contractions were getting really bad.
3:45-4:00- Left for Waukesha Mem.
4:15- Get to Triage room, dilated 3cm, contractions getting worse.
5:10- Get to delivery/patient room, running tests, asking questions. Check to see if dilating has increased -- Dr. stops, calls for all the tables and whatnot needed, it's time. NO TIME for Epidural, even though Amy wanted it. Natural childbirth for her!
5:39- First push
5:49- Head is out
5:50- Entire body slid right out.
Then followed by much grossness. lol
As of 10:30, Mom and Baby are doing great, just very very tired.

Anyone wants to stop buy, give me a holler. Not sure how long she'll be there since everything is going so well. The 3rd shift nurse said tomorrow evening is a good possiblity, or Saturday morning.

Thank you everyone for the Congrats/etc!!!

That is awesome. Sucks that she didn't get the epidural, but at least it was a short delivery.

Our son is due the 23rd. My wife had a doctor's appointment last night and was dilated 1cm. I'm not one for grossness unless it's myself. It'll interesting to see how things go...

Yeah there wasn't time for the epidural, but they did do a local anesthetic to help. She said the contraction pain all day was worse than the delivery.

Hoping for nothing but the best for your Wife/Son. The 23rd was Amy's induction date, but she was ready on her due date. hehe

Thanks so much everyone!!! Baby and I are, indeed, doing great. The doctors and nurses say that she couldn't be any healthier.

Yup, there was no time for the epidural. I couldn't see how the contractions could get any worse, so I wanted one because I thought I was only 3-4 cm dilated and knew if they got worse once I dilated more, I wouldn't be able to take it. Turns out, they were as painful as they were going to get because I was ready to deliver. But I do have to say, the contractions were much more painful than pushing the little one out without much pain medication (or time for the numbing agent to really kick in...).

Tomorrow is the day that we will be able to leave the hospital and go home. And we will be attending get togethers and such soon enough. So everyone will have a chance to meet her if you like.

Nitrous- Good luck to you and your wife!!! I hope that everything goes well for you two! And hopefully as quickly as it did for me :D I was only dilated 1cm until last Friday, and even then I was only dilated to 1 1/2cm. You never know how things are going to go until they start going.

Thanks again to everyone! :D

Dude, seriously? did you have to state the obvious, and for that matter, do you really have that much time to sit there and count howmany times jer's and amy's names were brought up....They are BOTH parents. She is not just Amy's child, but also Jer's. It is a lot easier to say both.

Any how, Amy I told you in person congrats when I helped you move, Once in this thread, and now once again, Congrats......It is great to have a healthy and happy baby isn't it?
