I am interested in purchasing an Ipod in the near future. I think an 8GB would be more than enough but let me know what you have. This will primarily stay in my glovebox hooked to my new stereo I just ordered so let me know what you got.

TTT. Would be willing to trade the Bluetooth car kit I have for sale also. Let me know what you have and we can try to work something out.

Thanks xxtremeteam. I've been doing some research and it appears a Zune will not work with the stereo I ordered. Looks like I have no choice but to get an Ipod.

Only 8g? I don't know how much music you actually have... but I have a 16g iPhone and I always find myself taking songs on and off iTunes because I wanna put new music on. I would invest in at least like a 30g. That way if you get more music, don't have to take off the music you still wanna keep on there. Just my opinion, cause I sometimes don't have room for new music, and don't really wanna take anything else off.

I think I have something like 300-400 songs. I've never had an Ipod or Mp3 player so I am not sure how much they hold. Maybe I should get the bigger one rather than being unhappy with my purchase later.

Do you plan to keep adding to your list of music? Or typically only listen to the same hundred or so songs?

and what is wrong with a ipod....ole know-er of all...

Sean hasn't had a bit of problems with it since he got it...other mp3 players he had were shit...if you have any problems...you can take it to a apple store...his itouch works fine as well...but i don't think tom wants to spend 220.00

I did a quick check.
Selected all the loose/solo mp3's I have that aren't in folders, 474 mp3's, which totalled 2.5gb.

So you should be able to fit roughly ~1600 songs on an 8gb.

*edit* Almost all my mp3's are at 192kb/s quality.
For full quality mp3's you should still be able to fit around 700-800, which I doubt you have any of, unless you are ripping them all yourself at full quality.

He needs an IPOD because that's what the headunit will recognize. Sure - he could use another player but he wouldn't be able to scroll through the songs via the headunit (hence his ability to stash the IPOD away somewhere).

Thanks for confirming it for me Ryan. Also thanks Wikked for checking that out for me. 8GB will be more than enough space for me. Yeah, I am sure I will add songs but I bet I could even get away with 4GB of storage.
