Hey guys,

I know i'm a new guy to BCM, but i'm not new to the hobby. I love the spring/summer/fall months because of the cruisin' and car shows alone, and as many of you know this season promises to be one of the best ones yet. With the power tour coming through this year and Elkhorn/Jefferson, SCCA races, The Mile opening soon, Borchardts father's day show, and multiple trips to the grove it's hard to do it all. But if any of you are like me, you really enjoy hanging out at local shows/meets and meeting new people and most important checking out awesome cars/trucks. Which is why i'm asking you to save the date for the Fox Lake Firefighters 8th Annual Classic Car Show And Swap Meet on Saturday July 25th,2009. My uncle basically runs this show and if you have any questions you can relay them to him (rocket88@charter.net) It should be a helluva time and will benefit a good cause, so let's get a group together and drive the hour and a half to show these guys some real brew city muscle:headbang

Here's an ad on craigslist with some more info... http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/pts/1110326979.html

A link to Fox Lake Chamber of Commerce's website

and last but not least, a link to a review written about my uncle and his show a few years back...

Thanks everyone, and hope to see you there!!:thumbsup

Been there the past 3 years, will never miss that car show! The car shows that you get to park on the grass are the best ones. Beaver Dam and the one at the Concorde House are also good ones!

Hey everyone,

Just a bit of an update... I spoke with my uncle and there are 35 classes and 111 class trophies for the show. So, if you enter your vehicle in the show there's a pretty good chance you'll be leaving with a trophy!

Hey guys I just got a huge huge huge update on the car show.

This year they have added a best club participation award. Meaning the more cars from BCM that go, the bigger the opportunity is for an award to everyone on this site!!:banana:banana:banana

Hah, I sign up under the Watertown Car Club. I think like 5 people from our club won last year. One of them was my uncle's '69 Camaro SS. It's silver.

When you go into the show you immediately are on a mini gravel road. We were down that a little bit and off to the right in that corner. There was my dad's '68 Black Corvette, a friend's Black '81 Z28, uncle's '69 SS, a blue Wagon haha, friends '99 blue Z, my '00 Camaro v6. Usually go down with the same group every year, its a great show.

Hey everyone my uncle just sent me some flyers w/ Registration information on them.

I'll probably be making a run up to Oscars and Culvers this friday or saturday, maybe Georgies on Saturday as well. If you see a guy handing out yellow "fox lake firefighters car show" flyers, please don't hesitate to say "Hello."

Hey everyone,

Just an update, the show is less than a week away and their expecting a huge turnout!

So, if you want to see a bunch of cars you usually don't see and can put up with the drive it will be a lot of fun! I mean come on how many shows down here have a burnout box, muffler rapping contest, and huge trophies?

Thanks for the kind words Rick. I took video of the 79 camaros wet and dry burnouts, the crazy guy on the bikes burnout, the chevelles burnout, the white 2nd gen camaros burnout and I hope to have them uploaded asap. It really was a nice show and i'm glad the rain held off as long as it did.
