Looking for something decent but I dont need a ton of editing shit. There are so many places to look I dont even know where to start except that Best Buy seems a bit over priced. Any recommendations, we are going to visit family in NJ and FLA next week.

I'm also looking at camcorders but I want a simple one ($300-ish) that records in a file that I can open directly in windows movie maker. The movie files my digital cam records in does this but all the camcorders I've looked at online (so far my favorite cheap one is the Canon FS100) record in some retarded format that you have to convert before you can do any editing. When you convert the files, they can get compressed/messed up/etc.

Sorry Yoo, didn't want to jack your thread lol
