I have always wanted a big bore handgun that I could hunt with, so I finally got one. I ended up getting a Taurus Raging Bull in 454 Casull. I know it's no S&W, but from what I read, seems like guys either love them or hate them (just like the Glocks). To give you an idea of the cartridge size, it is pictured between a AA battery (left) and a 40S&W round (right).

I am going to see what kind of groups I can get and then decide if I want to scope it or not. I'm really looking forward to making up some handloads.

if i was going to get a revolver that would be the one id get. i love the way it fits in your hand and the action on it seems to be very nice... GOOD buy

That's sweet. I was thinking of getting one, before my parents sold their property.

We had a few Raging Bulls come back into Gander for repair, but Taurus offers a lifetime warrenty, and the bad ones we did have always came back right. I would buy one:thumbsup Love the way they look, and with the double lock up, they should stay nice and tight for a long time even with the heavy recoil of the .454. Good find, and I am sure you got a deal on it, Tauri are very reasonably priced!

:rolf I guess it would be cool to try at least once......

As for price, I paid $500. There are some small scratches from going in and out of a holster, so I might try and get some of those out. It's probably better that it's been "characterized" because then I won't be overly cautious when walking through brush.

I also really like the double lockup feature. Keeps the cylinder nice and snug.
