2009 Event Schedule

· Saturday, May 9, 2009 @ 3:45 PM – Kelly’s Bleachers Cruise and Dinner – Racine, WI
o This event will begin at the Racine Avenue Park & Ride Lot (New Berlin, WI) and will utilize the same route that Mike C. put together for us two years ago, ending at Kelly’s Bleachers II for dinner. We are a little more than 5 weeks away from the first event, May 9, 2009 Kelly's Bleachers event. I am starting taking roll call for this event so if you plan on cominng, please respond to this message. The plan for the May 9 Kelly's Bleachers Event is to meet at the Big Bend Park & Ride Lot in New Berlin (http://www.dot.state.wi.us/travel/parkride/lots/wauk6715.htm (http://www.dot.state.wi.us/travel/parkride/lots/wauk6715.htm)) by 3:45 PM. We will be departing no later than 4:00 PM. The event will end at Kelly's Bleachers II in Wind Lake for dinner, a baked chicken and sliced roast beef buffet with green beans, mashed potatoes and gravey, salad, and bread / rolls for $20 dollars per person. I will have the parking lot blocked off like we did last year and the year before so only people in the event can park.
o $20 dollars buffet per person including:

· Green Beans

· Sunday, May 31, 2009 @ 3:30 PM – Wisconsin Hot Rod Radio and Brew City Muscle Car Show / Track Day at Great Lakes Drag way – Union Grove, WI
o This show will bring the all the old and the new muscle, show cars, race cars, rat rods, you name it, together for one big show. Plus, at your own risk, you can choose to run your car down Great Lakes Drag way. To help offset Brew City Muscle forum costs as well as Wisconsin Hot Rod Radio, a $5 dollar entry will be charged per car into the car show. Additional fees may be charged to race on the Drag Strip (As many runs as you want).

· Sunday, August 9, 2009 – Car Cruise to the Wisconsin Automobile Museum & The Mineshaft Restaurant, in Hartford, Wisconsin.
o This cruise will depart from a west suburban Milwaukee location at mid-afternoon and make its way to the town of Hartford, home of the Wisconsin Automobile Museum, which features a large parking area across the street. Admission to the museum (which occupies the former Kissel Motor Car Company factory building) is $6 per person, the group rate. After touring the museum for an hour or more, we'll walk a short two blocks to The Mineshaft for an early dinner at the largest restaurant in Wisconsin. We'll be able to occupy a large area of tables and booths that will be set aside for us, then order off the menu. Cruise director – Mike C.

The one off of Big Bend road is a much bigger park and ride lot. The one on Racine ave is tiny. Plus Racine ave at National is all closed for reconstruction. So it limits on how to get to it.

Here is the latest update for those interested.

Hello everyone -

The first event is one month away. May 9, 2009 at 3:45 PM - Kelly's Bleachers Curise and Dinner. Currently, we have over 80 people that I am aware (meaning I have emails for) that will be joining. Please let me know if you are going to attend - jmg853@gmail.com (This way, my PM's do not fill up). If I missed listing you, I apologize and please let me know that as well. My goal is to get to 150 cars for this event. Hopefully, we can get there.

The meeting spot will be at Park & Ride in Big Bend - http://www.dot.wisconsin.gov/travel/...s/wauk6715.htm - Please be at the park & ride lot inbetween 3:30 PM and 3:45 PM. We will be departing at 4:00 PM promptly.
For those individuals that are coming from the south (Kenosha, Racine, and Illinois), the meeting spot to cruise to the park & ride lot is at the Iron Skillet located at 717 S Sylvania Avenue, Sturtevant, WI 53177. Form there, my friend Tony D (Ford GT), Mike F (Ford GT), and Theo M (Blown C5 Z06) will lead the way to the Big Bend Park & Ride Lot.
There will also be a contingency driving in from the north west (Madison) so please let me know if you are interested in cruising to the park and ride with them.

Obviously, I will be monitoring the weather the week of May 9, 2009 to ensure that the weather is going to be nice. More to come and I look forward to catching up with everyone.

i hear ya, but that's just not me. I always try to help out whenever i can so that incase i ever need anything they have my back. Plus a lot of the guys will be swinging by on the way there to stop and say hi. Hopefully it's nice out so i can sit outside when they roll through!

Joel does not get anywhere near enough Credit for the cruises he puts on. I mean honestly, near 200 car count for the first cruise....... and a good 35% of those cars are true exoctics!!! Thats insane! :thumbsup

It was fairly exciting between getting somewhat lost, locking up the tires during a short stop when cresting a hill, watching a cat use up all 8 of its spare lives when it ran right in front of the Lotus ahead of me, high speed passing of "civilians" while trying to keep up with the pack (so I wouldn't get lost), and at times hitting speeds high enough to pull my splitter out of the bumper...

Only a couple of MPH over the posted speed limit of course...

I was wondering what happened. I was probably 6-7 cars back and we all slowed down prior to that crest because of the large plume of tire smoke. I could see the tracks from you locking 'em up. Glad you got it on track before the gravel a few feet farther, then that splitter would really have been torn up.:thumbsup

Joel, i heard a TONNN of great feedback and if i was a bet'n man i would guess the car count for the next event (not the BCM/Track day) is going to be HUGEEE! Lots of cars arent finished yet and will be for the next cruise! Cant wait
