I got so many pictures out of last weekend's trip to D.C. that I am breaking them up into categories. Tonight's will be the whole purpose of the trip, the actual blossoms and some of the other colors you can find in D.C. right now.

Light varied all over the place. From heavy fog, to direct sunlight to scattered clouds, it was a mess of variables. A didymium filter (on the 24-70) and a polarizing filter (on the 70-200) were utilized in all but one of the shots below.

Sunday's shots (the shots are in chronological order from top to bottom) were the toughest because the light kept changing from one second to the next, there were so many fast moving scattered clouds.

Anyway, enjoy

Saw that on FB, lol, "smell my finger"

You have no idea how early. I set the alarm for 5:30 after not getting into the hotel room until 11:30 and getting Dominos at 12. Then while I was sleeping and I moved the clock so I could see it and moved it ahead an hour... I ended up waking up at 4:30 and not getting back to sleep.

And thanks!

Awesome work, man. I think they're going to be at their absolute peak the latter part of the week. I told my wife tonight that I was very tempted to jump a plane Thursday night and come back Friday night. I think the opportunity is there for the taking.
