We lost yet another local rider, with spring quickly approaching just wanted to throw a reminder to ride safe and protect yourself. You never know what can happen in an uncontrolled environment.

I don't understand why bikers don't wear helmets. 90% of the time you look cooler with a nice helmet anyways!

My girlfriend who rides with me, not very often even, just laid down $400 on a new shoei rf1000. Be smart guys...$400 for a nice helmet is worth it, and you'll wish you bought one if you went down.

RF1000's are GREAT helmets, and the only one that will fit my womans grape besides youth helmets.

I knew Bobby from JD'S Truck service. He worked there. I talked with him Monday. Its tragic. He was a great guy. His funeral is Tuesday in Cudahy.

That's tragic, and horrible. My sympathies to the victim, his family, and friends.

"...going too fast, and lost control"

Well over half the riders i see dont wear helmets.

Many others wearing shorts and sandals. Gf on the back with the same.

These people have zero brains. Maybe thats why they dont "need" a helmet.

I got it on ebay. I tried a few on first, to make sure it was the helmet I wanted though.

I talked to Jon from JD's today and he said that his buddy Matt was riding about 100 feet behind him when apparently he hit a raised manhole cover. The bike shimmied and his feet came off the pegs. Matt seems to think he panicked and grabbed the handle bars to tight and rolled the throttle. He bounced off a parked car into the house he was thrown to the curb where his split his skull. He also had crushed his chest from the impact with the car/ house. He was 29 and going to be married this August. He also had just gotten the bike and only had it a week.

Hmm, wierd story. It was in town so he couldn't have been going too fast, chalk that one up to inexperience and no gear i guess. Shitty nonetheless.

come on its more of a fashion statement than safety... u gotta look good to impress the ladies!!! nothin makes ya better lookin than road rash on half your face, and all over your arms, side, legs, hands.... people piss me off when they say they don't wear a helmet cuz it messes up there hair... I tell them to come back to me when they wipe out and mess up there face instead
