Sometimes you do get really lucky. I have gotten a few things there that were extremely nice.

there are bargains to be had, you just have to dig a lot more at jefferson. If anything, its fun to explore the swap area to kick off the car season. One might think there might be more nice rides in the car corral this year also as some people try to sell vehicles in a downed economy. Could be deals to be had!

I have found some really good deals. Last year I bouht a 2000 intrepid fr a daily driver for a little over 1k

I think the overall "Jefferson experience" is what makes it worthwhile.....like last year, I saw a 3-legged weiner dog, several midgets, and a live monkey (wearing a diaper) in an old flat-black Ford.....That kind of awesomeness just cannot be found anywhere else.....

I guess I missed the chimp last year too. I'm hoping to find a new rear end and some headers this year. Last year I got some perfect condition original GM IROC-Z center caps worth $100+ for an amazing $25... the guy must not have known what they were or he just didn't care. My dad is hoping to find a 9" for his '38 Dodge and some better heads for his 455.

I just got back from Jefferson... it was turning into a 'mud-pit' again.
Rain, thunder and lightning.... and here I am walking around with a metal handle umbrella.... how stupid, I felt like I was holding a lightning rod.
I left after an hour.

I only made it halfway through before I had to leave, but it was THE GREATEST JEFFERSON EVER!!!

I scored a dash for my 64 for $25 and 3 64 only F-85/Cutlass dogdish caps for $20(making a total of 5 I have now) :banana1::banana1::banana1::banana1::banana1:
I passed on a 64-5 auto center console for $50, because I found one last year. I wish I could have stayed to see what the second half had in store for me:headbang

I was there. My trans am and my camaro were in the car corral and will be again tomorrow. I got some sweet deals. Some nice tires, an air compressor and a battery jump starter. i was wearing a sweet poncho and carrying a black umbrella. I didn't get very wet at all and I was there until 2 or so.
