At the bank we pull levies practically all day long. Some of the names are very familiar.

ah sorry, feel like im still at work. If you owe money to the IRS / State of WI, they dont just sit back and wait for checks to come in from you....no no no. They send us (the bank) a nice little letter stating how much is owed and instructions to send them as much money as they have in their accounts (aka a tax levy). So we debit their accounts, kick in our $50.00 fee for processing the tax levy and leave exactly $.01 in their account. Do I feel bad about it, NO! for several reasons, but regardless of how I feel, it is the law that we must forefit that money or we could get in very serious trouble.

I'm sure that people on this list keep most of it in their "pillow case" though for this very reason.

I know this guy and I used to work for him at that location.

His situation began with a small amount being owed when he was young, which quickly grew out of control. As the story goes, he didn't confront the issue right away and now we see what it is today. His wife owed about $400,000 a few years ago.

I honestly have a lot of empathy for this guy, because the initial amount he owed was so small. Add to that that he did not confront this problem when it was small. Add to the mess that he has 4 brilliant children. I believe two or three of them graduated from high school and they are doing well.

While working for him, he would always use aliases when ordering supplies for his company, which repaired bakery equipment.

BTW- this is the guy who taught me how to paint cars.

Yeah I looked at this earlier today. I stop to get gas and my debit card wouldn't work. I am thinking there is moey in there. I stop by my credit union. The IRS put a Levy on my account. They say I owe them 11k in back taxes for unreported income from 2005-2006.

Just thought it was kinda funny..
